Ground Water Estimation and Management System (GEMS) - GEMS is a comprehensive solution for ground water management for the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India. The project is implemented through 9 states, catering to 475 users at 191 sites. GEMS provides tools to compile, visualize, and analyze hydrogeologic and allied attributes of groundwater resources.

Tax Mantra - Tax Mantra™ is a component-based integrated solution, highly configurable to the needs of the City, County and State tax agencies. Tata Infotech offers surround components to extend the core functionality offered by Tax Mantra including Geo Tax Analyzer. The Geo Tax Analyzer based on MapInfo product provides ability to map taxpayers' information using graphical tools and analyze relationships of different types of tax data. By maintaining a dynamic link between the information and its physical location, it is possible to create an "intelligent map" which conveys more information than is actually visible.

Election Analysis System (EASY) - EASY is a MapInfo based GIS application for analysis of election data and poll results. It facilitates analysis at national, state and constituency level aiding citizens to analyze and visualize the election results using dynamic maps over the internet. The system was available on the web during the counting of votes for the 13th All India Parliamentary elections in 1999. The client server version of EASY in local language was telecasted live on a popular television channel during the same period. The web version of EASY was adjudged the best MapXtreme solution in the 1999 MapInfo Worldwide Partner Conference held at Macro Island, Florida, USA.

Wireless Test Solutions - Tata Infotech as part of their Telecom offerings is into developing wireless test solutions for a global wireless technology company, which is one of the leading providers of products, services, and expertise to the wireless industry. The Optimizer product is an automated tool for fault finding and resolution, which helps carriers to identify key problems that affect network performance, isolate the causes, and find cost-effective solutions. The product GUI facilitates in-field and post-test network analysis and optimization. A real-time map plots the results of the drive test providing geographic reference for pinpointing problem areas. Combined with programmable voice alerts and displays that highlight critical performance parameters, the product offers the ideal environment for network performance improvement. The real time diagnostic tool collects information from GPS, RF scanner and Mobile phone and displays the same on the map. The application, which is integrated with MapInfo MapX, displays a street map with the cell site (tower) data. As the equipment loaded with this application is carried for drive test along the cell sites, it displays the position of the moving vehicle, the active cell site tower, the values of RF parameters (RxLevl, RxPower, TxPower etc), the status of the current call (completed, dropped etc) and other necessary details. MapInfo's flagship product MapInfo Professional is used here for sophisticated mapping and analysis including plotting charts and graphs, continuous thematic shading, SQL selection etc.

The System has been implemented for a leading bank in which has resulted in phenomenal time saving for the bank in responding to the calls from their clients.

Tata Infotech has developed a retail outlet information system for a leading market research agency allowing viewing of outlet specific information while also looking at the map of the outlet at different levels.

Retail Outlet Information System (ROIS) - ROIS is a comprehensive solution through which, both the major activities of plotting and spatial/aspatial querying are taken care of. ROIS consists of two packages namely plotting system and querying system. The plotting system is used to plot all the retail outlet locations along with attribute information like City Code, Zoom No and Key Value, etc. on the digital city map. The querying system is used to perform queries related to FMCG's, Durables etc., available in the system. This application is developed using MapX and Visual Basic has MS Access as backend. It is scalable to a MapXtreme based web GIS system.
