The Customer
The Department of Social Services (DSS) provides
service to the state's children and families, by helping the family
social service staff in - reducing paperwork, increasing client
interaction time, improving decision making using accurate information
and improving staff morale.
The Challenge
The client was looking for a comprehensive automated
case management system for social services. The system was required
to be SACWIS (Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System)
compliant and have components like AFCARS (Adoption and Foster
Care Analysis and Reporting System) and NCANDS (National Child
Abuse and Neglect Data System) reporting with other modules like:
- Child Protection / Child Day Care
- Family Preservation
- Juvenile Services
- Adoption
- Out-of-Home Care
- Interstate Compact
The Solution
Tata Infotech designed, developed and executed
the TWIST application in an extremely aggressive time frame.
TWIST was implemented on a distributed client
server data processing environment using the Windows NT, Sybase
System 10 and Gupta SQLWindows suite of products. The project
was executed in the following phases:
