A government body involved in planning, development and management of ground water resources facilitates data entry, processing, validation and dissemination of periodic reports-annual and periodic at the state and district level facilitating Water Balance and Water Resource assessment, through measurement, collection, analysis, transfer and dissemination of hydrological and hydro meteorological data at Central and State levels in the country.

The Solution

Tata Infotech developed GWIS, a comprehensive, easily accessible and user friendly Ground Water Software covering all aspects of Hydrological cycle including Ground water, Surface Water and climatic measurements in terms of quantity and quality. It performs Well Data Maintenance, Rainfall Analysis, Ground Water Assessment, Water Quality Assessment, Thematic Maps, Contours Elevation Modeling and Well Inventory Maintenance. It is a client/server application to facilitate data entry, updating, validation, processing and dissemination of periodic and annual reports. It has been developed in technical consultation with the Department of Civil Engineering of one of the premier technical and research institutes of India.
